The paper presents an introductory overview of proper names inspired by the spiritual aspects of human life. The author proves a cultural role of these names in the onymic areas that can manifest themselves in local and personal names but also in other types as chrematonyms. Particular emphasis is placed on reference to toponyms of the region of Dobrzyn nad Wisłą (ziemia dobrzynska) that reveal different spiritual inspirations created in the past. The problem of the names of demons in popular Polish, Italian, and French is also discussed as a sphere close to anthroponymy. Finally, the spiritual inspiration is studied among surnames and in the ludic situations of public life.
