The article presents the issue of Jewish genealogy in the Old Polish period, taking as an example the Lublin municipal account books from the Saxon age.The analysed material includes diverse information concerning family connections among the Judaic population living or working in the areas within the municipal jurisdiction. 480 pieces of genealogical information have been presented altogether. They are Jewish bynames recorded in the sources formed the name of father or husband as well as number of appelatives (son, daughter, mother - in - low and others) recorded along with name or only with the ethnonym. Genealogical information registered in the municipal account books does not show alle the family relations among the mosaic population. Moreover, the given information is frequently random. However, the material contained in the account books costitutes an exellent starting point for discussion on the municipal demography in the Old Polish era.
