Hermann Joseph Hinterstoisser (1861-1932) był to wybitny specjalista w zakresie chirurgii i ginekologii, lekarz wojskowy, wieloletni dyrektor Szpitala Śląskiego w Cieszynie (1892-1930), inicjator rozwoju pogotowia ratunkowego oraz kształcenia medycznego personelu pomocniczego, członek wielu stowarzyszeń medycznych, działacz społeczny, taternik, alpinista i numizmatyk.

Hermann Joseph Hinterstoisser (1861-1932) was renowned specialist in surgery and gynecology. He was a medical officer and for many years the director of the Silesian Hospital in Cieszyn (1892-1930). He was an initiator of the development of ambulance services and medical education support staff, a member of several medical associations, social activist, mountaineer, alpinist and numismatist.
