The article presents the issue of the attempt to implement common rules to European labour markets. These efforts, supervised by European Commission, depend on the economic and social situation of particular member countries. Some EU countries for years have been maintaining a policy stimulating the development of new flexible arrangements in the labour markets, including flexible forms of employment, but other countries’ approach to this type of transformation is highly skeptical. The differences in economies, labour market conditions, or even cultures of particular countries may make European Commission’s attempt to implement uniform rules for common European model of labour market very hard to accomplish.
