The article introduces the special issue of Social Psychology devoted to advanced statistical methods, i.e.: multivariate analysis of variance, discriminant analysis, application of multiple regression to the analysis of interaction, logistic regression, hierarchical linear models for between-subject and within-subject design, and two more specific topics: suppression effect and causal inference in a non-experimental design.
