The aim of the article was to discuss the role of loanwords in Ukrainian mycological vocabulary, with a particular focus on the official names of macroscopic fungi. The analysis of the collected material allowed the author to conclude that all types of researched sources are characterized by a relatively high content of terminological resources. Their significant part, especially books and articles in the field of mycology, is characterized by a richness of mycological lexis, including loanwords constituting its basis. The analysis of the names of macroscopic fungi in the examined sample showed that as much as 75% of them are structures whose main component was borrowed (Latin, Greek). Moreover, it proved that terms based mainly on Greek and Latin roots are a fundamental element co-creating the Ukrainian mycological terminology.

Мета статті — обговорити роль запозичень в українській мікологічній лексиці з урахуванням українських офіційних назв макроміцетів. Аналіз зібраного матеріалу дозволяє ствердити, що усі типи досліджуваних джерел характеризуються високим вмістом термінів. Значна їх частина, зокрема монографії та статті з галузі мікології, відзначається багатством мікологічної лексики, у тому числі запозичень, які становлять її скелет. Дослідження назв макроскопічних грибів вказує, що 75% з них це структури, яких головний член запозичений (з грецької і латинської мов). Терміни, які утворюються на грецькій і латинських основах є фундаментальним елементом, що співутворює українську мікологічну термінологію.
