Niniejszy artykuł opisuje obywatelski projekt, który jest obecny w różnych formach już od ponad dekady. Zlokalizowany jest w Mpophomeni, w głębi gęsto zaludnionej prowincji KwaZulu-Natal, położonej na wschodnim wybrzeżu Afryki Południowej. Jej mieszkańcy to głównie społeczności należące do grupy etnicznej Zulusów. Projekt skupia się głównie na stworzeniu Eko-Muzeum i towarzyszącej mu przestrzeni obywatelskiej, która formuje się wokół niego, nieustannie się rozwijając.
