Kompleksowe Progresywne Porozumienie ws.
The Comprehensive Progressive Agreement on Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is a mega-regional trade agreement signed by eleven countries of the Asia-Pacific region on March 8, 2018 in Santiago (Chile). The establishment of the CPTPP was a direct consequence of the decision of the U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Trans- Pacific Partnership (TPP). The aim of the paper is to characterize the newly established megaregional CPTPP trade agreement, to indicate the circumstances of its creation, the content of its revisions compared to the original TPP format, as well as to outline the prospects for further expansion of the discussed trade structure. The study uses methods of statistical analysis, descriptive analysis and comparative analysis. The conducted analysis proved a limited scale of changes in the original agreement, ie TPP, which largely boils down to suspension of controversial provisions and concessions dedicated to the U.S. side.
