Ze względu na szeroki zasięg fobii społecznej we współczesnych społeczeństwach istnieje potrzeba rozwijania oraz rozpowszechniania wiedzy na temat skutecznych metod terapii tego zaburzenia. Stąd też celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie sposobów terapii fobii społecznej przy zastosowaniu technologii internetowej za pomocą specjalnych programów internetowych (z j. ang. Internet-based treatment) oraz aplikacji mobilnych. W artykule omówiona została specyfika tego podejścia do terapii, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jej efektywności oraz ograniczeń i mocnych stron. W konkluzji zostały też przedstawione obszary z tego zakresu, które powinny zostać poddane dalszym analizom badawczym.

In terms of a huge dissemination of the Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia) in contemporary societies, there is a serious need for developing and disseminating scientific-based knowledge about some effective psychological treatments. Because of that, the main aim of the article is to describe the Internet-based treatment and mobile applications with reference to social phobia. The effectiveness, limitations and strengths regarding this kind of therapy as well as the future research areas are depicted.
