There have been large changes in the educational activities of museums since the 19th century, when it seemed rather boring and random. Nowadays it is perceived as one of the most important pillars of museum activity, while many multimedia devices may be used to attract visitors. The authors describe typical museum classes for children, adults and particular employees, such as teachers or tourist guides, and tries to indicate mistakes made in this field. A lack of close cooperation between curators and educators cannot improve educational offers or increase the popularity of cultural institutions amongst diverse potential visitors.
