An international seminar on the conservation of modernistic concrete buildings was held in Wrocław on 23-24 October 2009. The event was organised by the Polish Section of DOCOMOMO (International Working Party for Document and Conservation of Buildings, Sites and Neighbourhoods of the Modern Movement). The first cycle of presentations concerned concrete architecture in Wrocław and the conservation of the Centennial Hall. Successive papers dealt with the conservation of outstanding modernistic concrete edifices, while the topic of the last series of texts concerned the conservation of concrete. The debate ended with a discussion. The seminar was supplemented with a tour focused on the revalorisation of modernistic buildings in Wrocław, held on the second day of the meeting. The monuments were presented by the authors of the renovation and experts on modernistic architecture. The titular seminar was one of the most prominent international meetings on the conservation of twentieth-century buildings to be held in Central Europe in recent years.
