A group of 10 lexemes from works of five poets were chosen for the analysis: 7 of them were directly derived from prepositional expression and 3 nouns were derivates of adjectives. Usage of these words in contexts indicate many common features what proves their sy-nonymity. All of them indicate space, but variously located – from the close one, earthly, f.eg. meadows, more often waters to distant – sky, space over the world and even beyond the world. The characteristic feature is appearance of words that have close meaning but are of different derivational construction, not with prefix without (bez-). The function of using metaphorical nouns of this group is intensification of emotions and impressions. At all the discussed poets’ usage of various lexemes of this group in close neighborhood as well as adjectives of the same origin can be noticed.
