In her article, the author touches a very important problem of consumer bankruptcy. She discusses the regulations in force in this respect in the USA, Austria and Germany as the most interesting, and, against this background, the regulation in force in Poland after the amendment of the Act on Bankruptcy and Reconstruction Law. She also presents doubts that may be aroused in practice by the use of the said act.

В статье автор затрагивает весьма важную проблему потребительского банкротства. Она обсуждает урегулирования, действующие в этом отношении в США, Австрии и Германии, как наиболее интересные, и на этом фоне урегулирование, действующее в Польше после изменения Закона о несостоятельности (банкротстве) и реорганизации. Она указывает также на сомнения, какие на практике может вызвать применение упомянутого Закона.
