Artykuł zawiera przegląd doświadczeń tych krajów europejskich, które w zakresie badania skuteczności programów publicznych, w tym szczególnie polityk rynku pracy mają stosunkowo długą tradycję i które rozwinęły instytucjonalne systemy ewaluacji polityki rynku pracy. Niewątpliwie do krajów takich należą: Dania, Szwecja i Niemcy. Główny nacisk położono na opis zagadnień dotyczących: podmiotów odpowiedzialnych i zaangażowanych w przeprowadzanie ewaluacji polityki rynku pracy, danych i sposobu ich pozyskiwania, stosowanych podejść badawczych oraz aktualnych wyników analiz efektywności aktywnych polityk rynku pracy przeprowadzonych w tych krajach.

The paper presents on overview of the European Union countries’ experiences which have the long tradition for the evaluation of public programs and which developed the institutional infrastructure for labour market policy evaluation. It is based on the example of three countries: Denmark, Sweden and Germany. The main focus is put on such aspects like: institutional setup, namely institutions responsible for evaluation of active labour market measures, data availability, methodological approaches and recent evaluation findings on the effectiveness of basic active programs delivered in these countries.
