The main aim of this paper is to outline multifarious factors driving the shape of HRD in Poland. Factors establishing National HRD are identified and discussed by comparison to the McLean and McLean definition [2001] of NHRD. Some important ratings are shown in agreement with Wang’s indication [2007] of the need to refer to the latest national Human Development Reports. Finally, assuming that HRD varies at the national level, an analysis of adjustments to one of the strategies mentioned by Cho and McLean [2004] is the next objective of this study.

Głównym celem niniejszego opracowania jest ukazanie wielorakich czynników wpływających na kształt rozwoju zasobów ludzkich (Human Resource Development –HRD) w Polsce. Czynniki tworzące HRD (w Polsce) zostały wyróżnione i omówione dzięki porównaniu do definicji stworzonej przez McLeana i McLeana (2001). Zgodnie z zaleceniem Wanga (2007), podkreślającego potrzebę odnoszenia się do najnowszych krajowych raportów dotyczących rozwoju społecznego, wskazano kilka takich czynników. Założywszy, że HRD różni się na poziomie krajowym, kolejnym celem artykułu była analiza dopasowania NHRD do jednej ze strategii wymienionych przez Cho i McLeana (2004).
