The examination of the „Virgin with Child" (second half of the Fifteenth century) in the parish church in Kocina (the Kielce voivodship) has been conducted with the application of an electronic-optical transformer from a Ml FRA binocular microscope. The objective of the microscope has been replaced with an objective of a photografic camera (50 mm). The luminiscent screen of the transformer (macrophotography) has been photographed on ORWO I 850 film. Observations and photographs have made it possible to investigate the drawing of the face and dress of the figure. The thickness of the layers of samples taken (from the dress of the Virgin and Child) constitutes 0,1 -0,2 mm, a fact with could suggest the necessity of a verification of data, accepted in professional literature on the subject.
