Od dwóch tysięcy lat Kościół nieprzerwanie głosi Ewangelię w setkach języków i dialektów, docierając „aż po krańce ziemi”. Przepowiadanie musi być przekazywane w języku zrozumiałym dla tego, do kogo zostaje skierowane. Skuteczne głoszenie Ewangelii i przesłania chrześcijańskiego zawsze jest „inkulturowane”. Biblia Sacra Arabica stanowi przykład tej działalności Kościoła. Przygotowana i wydana przez Kongregację de Propaganda Fide była przeznaczona dla chrześcijan żyjących na terenach należących do imperium otomańskiego. W trzech tomach zawarty został kompletny tekst Pisma Świętego według kanonu Soboru Trydenckiego. Wydanie to zawiera tekst łacińskiej Wulgaty i arabskie tłumaczenie.

The Church has been spreading the Good News in hundreds of languages and dialects ”throughout the whole world.” The Gospel must be delivered in the language that is comprehensible to the recipient. Efficient proclamation of the Christian message implies its ”inculturation”. Biblia Sacra Arabica, published by the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples (Propaganda Fide), intended for the Christians in the Ottoman Empire, is a good example of this dictum. Its three volumes, compiled in accordance with the canons of the Council of Trent, contains the Latin (Vulgate) and Arabic translations of the entire Scripture.
