Archaeological research at the site in the locality of Dąbrówka was conducted from 15 April to 28 August 2009. The discussed site is situated on the southern bank of a watercourse, c. 5 km to the north-west of Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Excavation research carried out in 2009 encompassed the surface of 19591 m2. 519 archaeological features, c. 4000 pottery sherds, 10 flint artefacts and a significant amount of animal bones were discovered in the course of research. Among the features, the following ones dominated: pits of various size (household, production and midden pits), hearths, as well as numerous post-holes. The latter were perhaps vestiges of dwelling houses. Remains of 5 wells were also recorded in the course of research. Based on the analysis of finds, it was possible to identify three phases of settlement of this area: the Neolithic, the Roman Period (the Przeworsk Culture) and the Modern Period.
