Abstracts
The main problem dealt with in the paper relates to the knowledge and beliefs about child’s sexuality as factors creating a risk of marginalization threatening the proper development of the preschool child. knowledge about the specifics of the child’s sexual development determines the scope of acceptance of forms of sexual behavior by providing individual or societal standards of reference. Hence, it may perhaps be regarded as one of the indicators of response to child’s sexual expression and one of the indicators of the risk of marginalization due to sexuality. For example, by stigmatization. However, in the literature it is difficult to find any description of systematic methods or tools for adults which would allow them to diagnose the level of knowledge about the sexuality of the child. Therefore, the authors of the paper decided to build such a tool. A basic point was to establish a range of behaviors that can be included in correct development. The borders of risk for marginalization were established from this range.
