Osiągniecie skuteczności w zarządzaniu projektami stymulowane jest przez szereg zewnętrznych i wewnątrzorganizacyjnych czynników powodzenia projektu, a wśród nich przez kulturę projektową, strukturę projektową i zaawansowane procesy zarządzania projektami. Związki zachodzące między nimi zostały zaprezentowane w artykule w postaci referencyjnego modelu skutecznego zarządzania projektami. Model ten stanowi teoretyczną syntezę uzyskanych w badaniu wyników i sformułowanych na ich podstawie wniosków, z której wypływają szczegółowe implikacje dla praktyki zarządzania projektami.
