Wstęp: Każdego dnia wielu ludzi odczuwa ból głowy, nie zdając sobie sprawy z tego, że dolegliwość tę można leczyć. ważnym elementem naszego życia jest praca, która wymaga od nas dużego poświęcenia i zaangażowania. natomiast ból głowy utrudnia harmonijne funkcjonowanie w pracy. ma to istotne znaczenie zwłaszcza w zawodach medycznych, gdyż może wpływać na podejmowanie decyzji, a nawet stać się przyczyną tragedii. Cel badania: Sprawdzenie czy ból głowy jest częstym elementem towarzyszącym pracy pielęgniarek w wojewódzkim centrum medycznym oraz Szpitalu wojewódzkim w Opolu i jaki jest jego wpływ na wykonywane czynności zawodowych. Materiał i metody: narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz złożony z 18 pytań. Badania przeprowadzono od grudnia 2013 roku do lutego 2014 roku. wzięło w nich udział 50 pielęgniarek pracujących w wojewódzkim centrum medycznym oraz 50 pielęgniarek ze Szpitala wojewódzkiego w Opolu, za zgodą dyrektorów tych placówek medycznych. Ankietowanymi były wyłącznie kobiety. Wyniki: w badanej grupie 100 pielęgniarek 68 potwierdziło, że potraf radzić sobie z bólem głowy podczas dyżuru. Wnioski: wyniki ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród pielęgniarek wykazały wpływ bólu głowy na ich działania wykony- wane podczas dyżuru. z badań można wywnioskować, że ból głowy - w zależności od jego charakteru - ma większy lub mniejszy wpływ na pracę. nasilenie jego można zauważyć u większej połowy respondentek podczas wysiłku fzycznego, którego nie można uniknąć w pracy pielęgniarki tj. 29%.

Introduction: every day some of us experience headaches. A lot of people don’t realize, that this individual headache. inseparable part of our lives is work. it requires a lot of commitment from us. in contrast, the headaches regardless of their nature can afect our job. Dealing with this problem is particularly important in the medical professions, as it may afect the proper and efective decisions and even become a cause of a tragedy. Aim of the study: verify if the headache is a frequent concomitant of nurses at the Regional medical center and the Provincial hospital in Opole, and is adversely afecting their professional activities. Material and methods: the research tool was a questionnaire consisting of 18 questions. the study was conducted in the period from the December 2013 to February 2014. 50 nurses working in the Regional medical center and 50 nurses from the Provincial hospital in Opole took part in it, with the consent of the directors of these medical facilities. it was mostly women nurses that flled up the questionnaire. Results: From a group of 100 nurses, 68 confrmed that they could deal with headaches on their own when they are at work, and migraine was found among the 35 respondents. Conclusions: the questionnaire addressed to the nurses highlighted the impact of headache on their activities per- formed during work. the headaches, depending on their nature, have a bigger or smaller efect on nurses’ work. the pain was more severe in a larger part of the respondents while they were performing physical activities that cannot be avoided in the work of nurses.
