Pwt 11,29-30 jest przykładem biblijnego tekstu, który intryguje interpretatorów ze względu na swoje miejsce w kontekście i treść. Polecenie sprawowania rytuału błogosławieństwa i przekleństwa na górach Samarii oraz powiązanie tych gór z terenem Araby, z Gilgal, i równocześnie z dębami More, rodzi problem w zrozumieniu biblijnego przekazu. W podejmowaniu próby jego rozwiązaniu konieczne jest uwzględnienie historycznego stawania się aktualnego tekstu Księgi Powtórzonego Prawa. Badania egzegetyczne nad Pwt 11,29-30 pozwalają wnioskować, że tekst ten jest owocem pracy redakcyjnej, prowokowanej przez troskę o narodowo-religijną tożsamość Judejczyków okresu powygnaniowego. W podejmowanych w tym kontekście opracowaniach biblijnego tekstu znalazła swoje odzwierciedlenie konfrontacja pomiędzy żywymi wówczas koncepcjami postrzegania i wyrażania przynależności mieszkańców Judy do jednego narodu i do ludu JHWH.

Deut. 11, 29-30 is an example of a biblical text that intrigues interpreters because of its place in context and content. The command to perform the ritual of blessing and cursing on the mountains of Samaria and the connection of these mountains with the territory of Arabah, with Gilgal, and simultaneously with the oaks of More, raises a problem in understanding the biblical message. In its solution, it is necessary to take into account the historical becoming of the current text of the Book of Deuteronomy. Exegetical examinations of Deut. 11,29-30 allow us to conclude that this text is the fruit of editorial work, provoked by concern for the national-religious identity of the Judean people in the post-exilic period. In editorial revisions of biblical texts undertaken in this context, the confrontation between the diferent vivid concepts of perceiving and expressing the belonging of the inhabitants of Judah to one nation and to the people of JHWH was reflected.
