This article attempts at recognising the dualistic and thus stereotypical discourse of axiological and emotional values. To do so, the author interprets Rama Burshtein’s film entitled Fill the Void (2012), which describes life of the Haredi Jewish community. The analysis is especially focused on feminine narrations as nowadays it seems obvious that intellectual and social women’s life is very much neglected in traditional religious societies. Therefore, questioning of connection between tradition, moral value and more individual emotion appears to be a chance for linking those three seemingly dissimilar discourses. The author is then interested in a wider perspective and emphasises the implicated significance of emotions, standing up for the worth of Orthodox Judaism and its values.
