Polish accession to the European Union and changes in EU;s trade policy signifi cantly affected the Polish entities leading international trade with non-EU countries. In recent years there has been an increase in trade with third countries, which may be combined with the accession to EU. At the same time international competitive position of Poland changed. The analysis confi rmed a good adaptation of Polish exporters and importers, to changing conditions, including expanding trade liberalization.
