Artykuł prezentuje polską adaptację narzędzia Multidimensional Acceptance of Loss Scale. Skala ta służy do diagnozowania akceptacji niepełnosprawności, zgodnie z jej rozumieniem zawartym w teorii akceptacji straty Beatrice Wright. W artykule zawarto informacje związane z opracowaniem polskiej wersji językowej skali oraz sprawdzaniem jej właściwości psychometrycznych. Badania walidacyjne przeprowadzono w grupie osób z nabytą niepełnosprawnością ruchową: uszkodzeniem rdzenia kręgowego oraz po amputacji kończyny dolnej. Uzyskane dane wskazują na satysfakcjonującą rzetelność, stabilność i trafność prezentowanego narzędzia.

The paper presents a Polish adaptation of the tool Multidimensional Acceptance of Loss Scale. This scale is used to assess disability acceptance understood according to acceptance of loss theory by Beatrice Wright. The article contains information relating to the development of the Polish-language version of the scale and verification of its psychometric characteristics. Validation studies were performed in a group of patients with acquired motor disabilities: spinal cord injuries and lower extremity amputations. The data obtained indicate satisfactory reliability, stability and validity of the research tool presented.
