This material is the interview with Randall Collins — Professor of Sociology, University of Pennsylvania, author of the fundamental work “The Sociology of Philosophies: A Global Theory of Intellectual Change” (1998). The interview coveres issues of scientific work and life of Randall Collins, his career and vision of his contribution to the world sociology. The article also presents Randall Collins’ views on the questions of philosophy and philosophical processes.
