The author of the article recalls the history of the 1876 discovery of a stone circle in Błędów in the vicinity of Grudziądz, where also a Roman coin from the time of Emperor Theodosius I (383–388) was found, as well as discusses older and newer interpretations of this find. Modern archaeologists failed to find a trace of this stone circle, whereas the fate of the coin, which for some time had been in Constanty Florkowski‘s (†1894) possesssion, requires clarification (possibly it remains in numismatic collection of the Museum in Grudziądz).
