The archaeological site No. 95 (“Mały Gawroniec” Hill) in Ćmielów is located in the area of the town of Ćmielów. It lies on a loess inselberg, in the valley of the River Przepaść. The site was discovered in Spring 2004. It yielded the unique remains of a Magdalenian camp. The results of the fieldwork in season 2009 are: preparation of special maps focused on natural and anthropogenic threats to the site; recognition of a range of fossil suffosion pans, and a position of paleosoils’ levels; excavation in the south-eastern part of the site; and gaining of a collection of 2235 artefacts.
