In the article presented were the most important and the most characteristic themes appearingin the journalistic texts of the Russian writer. Zalygin, particularly towards the end of the twentiethcentury, was interested in the issues connected with ecology, the freedom of choice, the awakeningand developing of ecological conscience, the moral and ethical aspects on the part of man withregard to nature, soil and the surrounding world.
