The author of the paper aims to draw attention to the Late Palaeolithic flint artefacts from Toruń and its surroundings, to outline the history of archaeological penetration of the area, as well as to present the current state of research on the issue. The fact that in the broader studies on the Late Palaeolithic of Poland flint materials coming from Toruń and its surroundings are not accounted for on a satisfactory level cannot be ignored, especially, considering the amount of collected material and the fact that the areas archaeological penetration goes back as far as late 19th and early 20th century. The presence of sites with Tanged Point Technocomplex flint material in general, and Backed Piece Technocomplex in a lesser degree indicates that the above area has had the appropriate environmental quality and was of interest to the hunters of the time. Flint materials from Toruń and its immediate vicinity should be included in wider studies of the Late Palaeolithic in Poland, with particular reference to the Brzoza site complex. Continuation of excavation works in the vicinity of Toruń is extremely important in verifying the existing state of knowledge related to the cultural and chronological situation of the region in that period, especially in the context of the most recent discoveries.
