Niniejszy artykuł stanowi konkluzję na temat doniesień medialnych w sprawie prezentowania tematyki samobójstw w przestrzeni miejskiej. Prawidłowa komunikacja dotycząca samobójstw to niewątpliwie wyzwanie XXI wieku.

The article is a conclusion about media reports on the subject of suicides in urban space. Correct communication regarding suicides is undoubtedly a challenge for the 21st century. Today, in a routinized everyday life, it is difficult to surprise or interest the viewer in any way, or to invoke a reflection in him or her. There are many ideas, as well as topics worth attention: poverty, unemployment, distinctness or suicides are only some of them. Sometimes, however, it is worth asking whether given activities may have a positive impact on recipients, passers-by or laypersons who do not know the issue. The subject of suicides is a very delicate problem. In order to present this aspect, at least a dozen or so principles should be observed, which will not harm the recipient. According to the WHO data, in 2020 every 4th person will have mental difficulties. It is not known how such a person can react to the surrounding reality at a given moment. Often, only an inflammatory factor is enough to – even accidentally – cause a tragedy.
