In this article, starting from the assumptions of the qualitative paradigm, authors take a description of the everyday life of a senior experiencing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Based on a narrative interview, they identified important categories related to the reality in which the elderly patient can function. The authors indicate pedagogical implications allowing to introduce into practice activities supporting and improving the quality of life of older people, pointing to the important role of social interaction and a sense of ontological safety in the process of coping with illness and old age.
