The article deals with the right of representation, which in the field of inheritance law generally refers to the entry of the descendants of the originally called heir into the inherited right of inheritance according to legal succession. The article deals with the different approaches to the right of representation in the regulation of the legal succession in Czech, Austrian and Polish law and with the theoretical definition of the right of representation.
