The article by Valentyna Sobol is devoted to the analysis of Taras Shevchenko’s poetry translations into Polish. The author identifi es the major stages of Shevchenko study in Poland, compares the translations by Bohdan Łepki, Czesław Jastrzębiec-Kozłowski, Jerzy Jędrzejewicz, and Piotr Kuprys, and proves that the Polish publication of Kobzar translated by P. Kuprys in 2008 and the bilingual Kobzar of 2012 provide a new level of the comparative studies of Shevchenko’s Polish translations.
