In the process of globalization, the state loses its importance, gaining the region. Central Asia region, created by Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is an important transit route. Central Asia region, which still clash sphere of influence among Russian Federation, China, the United States and the European Union. The article presents the role of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the leader of the region, in the two integration processes: Economics Eurasian Union and Gate Western China – Western Europe. It outlines the challenges, opportunities and threats, and to a negligible extent the consequences of accession to the above-mentioned projects.
