He was an academic teacher on Harvard University, Columbia University, Tufts University, Boston College, University of Pennsylvania, Universi-ty of New Dehli, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Sciences Po (L’Institut d’études politiques de Paris). He is editor-in-chief of the journal „Filosofia e Questioni Pubbliche – Philosophy and Public Issues” (LUISS University Press). His scientific work primarily concerns works by John Rawls. Sebastiano Maffettone is the author of monographs and essays: I fondamenti del liberalismo (1996) (with Ronald Dworkin), Etica Pubblica (2001), La pensabilità del mondo (2006), Rawls: un’introduzione (2010), Rawls. An Introduction (2010). He takes the current issues of public ethics, bioethics, globalization, foundations of liberalism.
