Wielkie dziedzictwo myśli i dzieł ks. F. Blachnickiego jest w swym najgłębszym sensie wołaniem o nowe formy duszpasterstwa w oparciu o najbardziej znaczące doświadczenia pierwszych wieków chrześcijaństwa, na nowo odkryte i ukazane Kościołowi w darze ostatniego soboru. Przyjmując wskazania soborowego i posoborowego nauczania Kościoła, zwłaszcza zawarte w dokumencie o inicjacji chrześcijańskiej Obrzędy chrześcijańskiego wtajemniczenia dorosłych, postulował dowartościowanie katechumenatu rodzinnego. W wielu dokumentach Kościoła przypomina się, że chrześcijańska rodzina jest uprzywilejowanym miejscem katechezy, a rodzice pierwszymi nauczycielami i wychowawcami w wierze. Dlatego rodzinny katechumenat wydaje się mieć szczególny charakter i w żaden sposób - zgodnie z wypowiedziami F. Blachnickiego - nie zastąpiony. Przywrócenie rodzinie jej pierwszoplanowej roli w dziele budzenia i rozwijania wiary wiąże się z koniecznością ponownego odkrycia fundamentalnej prawdy, że wspólnota chrześcijańska jest w sobie samej żywą katechezą. W takiej wspólnotowej perspektywie relacyjny wymiar wiary staje się nadrzędny wobec treści i metody, z racji na jej personalistyczny charakter oraz istotne znaczenie chrześcijańskiego świadectwa. Jest to zadanie tym pilniejsze, gdyż dzisiaj Kościół stoi przed faktem ignorancji i pasywnej postawy rodziców wobec obowiązku realizacji religijnej formacji względem swoich dzieci. Można by nawet stan ten określić jako wielkie wyzwanie dla Kościoła, które powinien podejmować, tym bardziej, że mamy do czynienia z poważnym kryzysem współczesnej rodziny.

The great heritage of the thought and works of Rev. F. Blachnicki is a call for a new forms of pastoral care based on the most significant experience of the first centuries of Christianity, the newly discovered and depicted as a gift of the last council. Taking conciliar and post-conciliar indications of the Church, especially in the document “Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults”, the family is called to the appreciation of the catechumenate. The Christian family is the privileged place for catechesis, and parents are the first teachers and educators in the faith. Therefore, the family catechumenate seems to have a special character in any way - according to statements made by Rev. F. Blachnicki - not replaced. The restoration of the leading role of the family in the task of awakening and development of faith involves the rediscovery of the fundamental truth that the Christian community is in itself a living catechesis. This relational dimension of faith is more important than all contents and methods, according to the personalistic nature and importance of Christian witness. This task is more urgent because we experience today the fact of ignorance and passive attitude of parents towards their obligation of the religious formation of their children. We could even define this state as a great challenge for the Church, which should take, especially since we are dealing with a serious crisis of the modern family.

Das große Erbe von F. Blachnicki ist ein Aufruf für neue Formen der Seelsorge auf dem Grund der wichtigsten Erfahrungen aus den ersten Jahrhunderten des Christentums, die neu entdeckt und dargestellt wurden. Nach der konziliaren und nachkonziliaren Lehre der Kirche, vor allem in den Dokumenten „Riten der christlichen Initiation der Erwachsenen“, die Familie wurde als der Ort des Katechumenats bestimmt. Viele kirchlichen Dokumente erinnern, dass die christliche Familie der bevorzugte Ort für die Katechese ist und die Eltern sind die ersten Lehrer und Erzieher im Glauben. Daher scheint das Familienkatechumenat einen besonderen Charakter in irgendeiner Weise zu haben. Die Restaurierung der führenden Rolle der Familie bei der Aufgabe von Erwachen und Entwicklung des Glaubens beinhaltet die Wiederentdeckung der grundlegende Wahrheit, dass die christliche Gemeinschaft in sich selbst eine lebendige Katechese ist. In dieser Gemeinschaft ist die relationale Dimension des Glaubens wichtiger als alle Inhalte und Methoden. Diese Aufgabe ist umso dringlicher, weil wir heute die Tatsache der Unwissenheit und der passiven Haltung der Eltern gegenüber ihre Pflicht der religiösen Bildung ihrer Kinder erleben. Man könnte sogar diesen Zustand als eine große Herausforderung für die Kirche definieren, besonders, wenn wir mit einer schweren Krise der modernen Familie zu tun haben.
