Artykuł przedstawia regulację wprowadzonej na mocy ustawy z dnia 28 maja 2013 r. o zmianie ustawy – kodeks pracy oraz niektórych innych ustaw instytucji urlopu rodzicielskiego. W artykule przedstawiono cel analizowanego urlopu i podstawowe problemy pojawiające się na tle korzystania z tego uprawnienia przez pracowników. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono kwestiom wnioskowania o urlop przez pracowników oraz rezygnacji z tego urlopu. Opisano również uprawniania przysługujące osobie korzystającego z urlopu rodzicielskiego.

The article presents the regulation introduced by the Act on 28 of May 2013 on change of Act – Labour Code and some another acts the institution of parental leave. The paper presents both the target of the analyzed leave as well as the basic problems arising out in terms of the use of this right by the workers. Particular attention was paid to the issues of application for leave by employees and cancellation of such leave. It also describes privileges for the person exercising parental leave.
