Polish cloisters of Orsolines Sisters were established mainly in the cities in consideration o f the management of the secondary schools for young girls made by the sisters. In the beginning of XX century, still in the period of the autonomic cloisters’ existence, in Polish lands the Orsolines Sisters started to buy rural estates, which were economic background area for the schools and for the cloisters existed in the cities and simultaneously could be the place of rest for the sisters and for their schoolgirls. This article is dedicated to the history of the cloister of Orsolines Sisters in Siercza.
