The main objective of the audit, which was conducted on NIK’s own initiative, was to examine whether the units subordinate to the Ministry of National Defence (MON) responsible for the property and equipment of army units, manage them properly. The condition of the infrastructure (buildings, structures) was examined, as well as their fittings and equipment. The audit also checked whether the expenditure on maintenance of the infrastructure and protection of the units allowed for appropriate performance of the tasks assigned.
