Celem artykułu jest ukazanie dziedzictwa intelektualnego Guya Deborda oraz jego wpływ na współczesne teorie kulturowe (głównie Jeana Baudrillarda). Centralną kategorią prowadzonych w artykule rozważań jest kategoria ‘społeczeństwa spektaklu’.

This paper presents intellectual heritage of Guy Debord and its impact on contemporary theories of culture (mainly of Jean Baudrillard). The central concept of the considerations in the paper is the category of ‘spectacle society’.
