The CAF method consisting of basic nine criteria is its main construction taken from the EFQM model. The formula for carrying out analysis possesses more guidelines, namely 28 auxiliary criteria divided into 9 main criteria. The auxiliary criteria treat the subject contained in the main criteria more precisely and make up an auxiliary tool for developing issues placed in the basic criteria. The Common Assessment Framework CAF is a method requiring an assessment based on knowledge and experience of workers directly connected with an assessment process of the organisation’s activities. The application of the auxiliary criteria of the CAF method to the organization’s assessment requires their adjustment / modification in order to adapt them to the correct assessment and the organisation’s activities. It is necessary to conduct the adaptation so that the general conception for the given criterion should be kept and relevant to it, besides it is necessary to be guided by a desire to obtain sufficient information. Undertaking the detailed assessment can turn out demanding and give unsatisfactory results, e.g., fail an assessment of activities of the organisation’s individual elements. However, the detailed work assessment can turn our attention to the need for the introduction of changes or modifications which can also improve work at every level and in every function of the organisation. Using the CAF method for assessment of one’s own activities is aimed at improving work environment.
