The aim of this article is to show the negative consequences of a rigorous approach to the principle of exclusivity of a statute. There is no doubt that this rule plays a fundamental role among the basic values of the constitutional system of sources of law. Its application, however, without a proper consideration of the desired final shape can negatively affect the stability of the law and cause the hypertrophy of statutory regulations. The article presents the need to reflect on the desired construction of the exclusivity of statute and answers the question what should be the maximum depth of statutory regulations. Answering the question what is the maximum content of the statute depends, of course, on the subject of the regulation but the author attempts to highlight some constitutional values that permit a careful planning of the content of each statute.
