The dynamic growth of the Internet has been one of the most spectacular phenomena in the world over the last 20 years. The Internet has had a large impact on business and created new opportunities for the sale of products and services. Due to its global reach, the Internet has also become a tool for the intensification of foreign trade. It enables entrepreneurs to collect information on foreign markets, promote products on web pages, export and import goods and services in a direct way using electronic distribution channels. International e-commerce distinguishes itself by high dynamics. In 2013, the largest exporter of goods purchased online was the United Kingdom, the largest importer was France.

Dynamiczny rozwój Internetu należy do najbardziej spektakularnych zjawisk na świecie z okresu ostatnich 20 lat. Internet wpłynął w olbrzymim stopniu na sposób prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej i stworzył zupełnie nowe możliwości w zakresie sprzedaży produktów i usług. Internet ze względu na globalny zasięg stał się również narzędziem intensyfikacji handlu zagranicznego. Umożliwia on nie tylko zbieranie informacji o rynkach zagranicznych i promowanie produktów na stronach internetowych sporządzonych w języku zagranicznych nabywców, ale także dokonywanie bezpośredniego eksportu i importu za pomocą elektronicznych kanałów dystrybucji. Międzynarodowy handel internetowy cechuje się wysoką dynamiką. W 2013 roku największym eksporterem dóbr przez Internet była Wielka Brytania, a importerem Francja.
