With the response to the disappointing condition of the verbal and written communication of the secondary school students, we propose to use the narration as the elementary form of learning about the world and expression of the personal experiences. We are inspired to this concept by the postmodern aesthetics, broader understanding of the literary culture, and by the reception by the youth of the Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular form of the fantasy literature. We present also examples of the practical solutions. Contrary to the interpretations of the Blood of Elves, disseminated on the internet (which skip the issue how the readers come to the fi nal conclusions), we create the concrete tasks to the audience instead. In connection with this workshop, we recommend students to a simple summary of the first subsection, and in the following sections to the completion of the novel’s characters statements, or to simple search of the arguments supporting each of the participants taking part in the discussion. The exercises in the reception of a literary work help to distinguish the art fi ction contained in journalism from the daily conversations. We move within the fi eld of the fun-fi ction and initiate the formation of an informal circle of the interested members – the fandom.
