W artykule użyto teorii neotrybalizmu Michela Maffesoliego do opisu trzech wybranych społeczności fanów twórców: zespołów muzycznych Queen i Sabaton i pisarza T. Pratchetta. Wszystkie te grupy powstały w świecie online na bazie internetowych for dyskusyjnych, ale po pewnym czasie stworzyły społeczność, która wykracza poza świat wirtualny. Mimo różnic między poszczególnymi fanklubami sposób ich funkcjonowania wydaje się być podobny

In this paper, Michel Maffesoli’s theory of neotribes is used to describe three selected communities of artists’ fans: Queen and Sabaton fans as well as the writer Terry Pratchett’s fans. Originally, all these groups incorporated the members of Internet discussion forums, and after some time they developped into communities which go far beyond the virtual world. In spite of the differences between the three fan clubs, they all seem to function in a similar way.
