W niniejszym tekście przedstawiam zagadnienie ontologii w naukach społecznych, szczególnie w dziedzinie ekonomii. W artykule podkreślona jest rola realizmu krytycznego w definiowaniu analitycznego i teoretycznego podejścia w tym zakresie. Określenie przedmiotu badań jest kluczową kwestią dla doboru i zastosowania odpowiednich metod badawczych. Wydaje się, że teoria ekonomii nieustannie szuka swojego miejsca na mapie nauki, a jej przedstawiciele poszukują prawdziwości sądów w tej dziedzinie.

In this article, I only briefly present the problems of ontology in the social sciences, particularly in the field of the economic theory. The article outlines the role of critical realism in defining the analytical and theoretical approach. Defining the subject of research is a key issue for the selection and application of appropriate research methods. It seems that economic theory is constantly looking for its place on the map of science, and its representatives are looking for the truth of judgments in this field.
