High technology industry occured as an effect of industrial structure evolution in the highly developed countries. However, less developed countries aspire to develop this kind of manufacturing starting from the lower level of development. The issue is discussed throuhg selected economic theories in this article. High-tech industry on a global scale can not be developed without state intervention.
