The article presents modern notification systems and their applications in crisis situations (emergencies). A special attention is drawn to telephone text message notification and the possibility of using it in case of threat. Mobile phones have currently become an indispensable tool of human communication and using them in emergencies will enable effective access of the message in a very short time to a huge number of people under threat. It is crucial to introduce while making law such solutions that will enable creating an efficiently operating modern notification system. Such a system should entirely take advantage of Internet, digital TV and mobile phone potentials.
