Rozwój umiejętności wychowawczych rodziców i kształtowanie efektywnych, sprzyjających rozwojowi dziecka postaw rodzicielskich jest ważnym zagadnieniem z zakresu edukacji dorosłych. Artykuł prezentuje przegląd wiedzy na temat determinantów stabilności i zmienności w oddziaływaniach rodzicielskich. Badania empiryczne potwierdzają zarówno tezę dotyczącą stałości zachowań rodziców w różnym czasie i w odniesieniu do różnych dzieci, jak i tezę, że zachowanie rodzica może się zmieniać w zależności od pory dnia czy wieku rozwojowego dziecka. Znajomość czynników odpowiedzialnych za ten proces stwarza szansę na zwiększenie efektywności oddziaływań profilaktycznych i edukacyjnych rodziców.

Parenting skills development of parents and shaping effective, child-development-friendly parental attitudes is an important adult education issue. The article presents a knowledge digest of stability and changeability determinants in parental influence. Empirical research confirms both thesis concerning parental attitudes stability at different times and in relation to different children, as well as thesis stating that parental attitude can be changing depending on time of day or child’s developmental age. Knowledge of factors responsible for this process creates an opportunity to increase effectiveness of preventive means and education of parents.
